Research & Development Program

At Cannoisseur, innovation doesn’t happen in a vacuum. Some of our most valuable insights come from the patients who experience our work firsthand. Our Research & Development (R&D) Program is an invitation for verified patients to take part in shaping the future of our genetics, products, and presentation.

Who Can Participate

Participation in the R&D Program is open to:

  • Verified medical marijuana patients who have completed our standard patient verification process
  • Customers who choose to opt in to the R&D Program through their account

Enrollment is optional, and participation can be discontinued at any time.

How the Program Works

Patients enrolled in the R&D Program may periodically receive additional sample products alongside their regular orders. These samples are provided strictly for evaluation and feedback purposes and may include:

  • Phenotypes from ongoing pheno hunts
  • New or experimental cultivars
  • Product or formulation tests
  • Packaging, labeling, or presentation concepts

Each R&D sample is accompanied by a QR code that links to a short, structured feedback survey.

Your Feedback Matters

The surveys are designed to be quick and straightforward, focusing on real-world experience. Depending on the project, feedback may include:

  • Aroma, flavor, and terpene impressions
  • Effects and overall experience
  • Visual appeal and structure
  • Product usability or packaging clarity
  • Preference comparisons between phenotypes or versions

This feedback helps guide our selection decisions, refine future releases, and preserve only the most exceptional expressions.

  • Participation does not affect your ability to place standard orders
  • Participation does not require purchase beyond your normal order
  • Feedback is used solely to improve genetics, products, and patient experience
